Setting Description
Profile Choose a separation profile from the list. An Administrator has created separation profiles that you can select from. Depending on the profile you select, the options available in this screen may change.
Document Separation Type
  • Barcode and Patch Type Separation : Choose settings if using barcodes or patchcode separator sheets.

  • Page Count Separation: Enter the number of sheets per Document.

  • AI Separation: Allow an AI model to perform the separation.

  • Manual: Requires the Operator to manually perform the separation of pages.

Barcode Separation
  • Barcode Type: Select the appropriate barcode type from the list. Refer to Example: Barcode Separation and Process Flow Example: Zone Barcode Location Identification for example configuration workflows.

  • Start New Document When: Choose the option to begin a new document:

    • When the Barcode Type is Found

    • When the Barcode Type Changes

    • When a specific Barcode Value is found. Enter the Barcode operator and value in the corresponding fields described below.

  • Barcode Operator / Value: If you selected 'When a specific Barcode Value is found', you must select both an operator and a value. For example, if you select 'Starts with' as the operator, and '2601' as the value, a new document is started only when the barcode begins with 2601. If you uploaded a 10 page document, and pages 3, 5, and 7 each have a barcode that begins with 2601, four separate documents are created:

    • Pages 1-2: Document 1

    • Pages 3-4: Document 2

    • Pages 5-6: Document 3

    • Pages 7-10: Document 4

Operator options are: Equals, Not Equals, Contains, Not Contains, In, Not In, Starts With, Not Starts With, Ends With, Not Ends With, Match, or Not Match

  • Barcode Checksum: Enable this option if the barcode contains a first and last character identifier.

  • Use Bar Code Value For Document Type: Enable this option if the bar code indicates the document type itself, and can be used instead of relying on AI to determine the type. For example, you might have a barcode value specific to invoices vs. a barcode specific to credit memos.

  • Delete Barcode Separator Sheet: Removes the separator sheet from the scan.

Patch Code Separation
  • Patch Code Type: Choose the appropriate patch code type.

  • Delete Patch Code Separator Sheet: Removes the separator sheet from the scan.

Classification Settings Enable Use AI Classification if the Batch type involves a classification task.
